Matthew Abram Groening (GRAY-ning; born February 15, ) is an American cartoonist, writer, producer, and animator. He is best known as the creator of the television series The Simpsons (–present), Futurama (–, –, –present),[1] and Disenchantment (–), and the comic strip Life in Hell (–).
